Kampala
Uganda’s bustling capital city on foot. The city is Uganda’s biggest, with a population of roughly 1.68 million
people distributed among five boroughs. Kampala is said to be one of Africa’s fastest-growing cities and the
greatest place to live in East Africa.
This mountainous region with its valleys is rich with sluggish rivers and marshes, which add to the charm and
landscape. Explore the city center’s attractions, including the parliament, monuments, and the Gaddafi
Mosque.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is located on the bottom of Africa’s Western Rift Valley and covers 1,978 square
kilometers at an elevation of 884-1,337m/2,900-4,386ft. This magnificent park offers a comprehensive
experience with varied ecosystems such as grassland, savannah, woodlands, wetlands, and lakes.
The experience includes a wide variety of huge creatures, primates, birds, and butterflies. The park is home to
over 95 animals and over 600 bird species. Queen Elizabeth is home to four of the big five animals. The rhino
isn’t there. The park is a fine destination for game drives, boat trips, birding, nature walks, and many
educational yet adventurous activities.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in southern Uganda and is known for its dense foliage. The
park is home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas with 15 successfully habituated gorilla families
offering amazing opportunities to 120 travelers to spend a full hour with the great apes daily.
Because of the dense canopy, the temperature in Bwindi is cool; bring some warm clothing for the evenings
and long-sleeved shirts/trousers for walking to enjoy the mostly wooded, with some portions covered by
bamboo and bushes. The forest is made up of steep, slick valleys with peaks and hilltops.
