Queen Elizabeth National Park (Medley of Wonders)
Queen Elizabeth National Park is also known as a medley of wonders and the
second national park in Uganda located in the West in the districts of Kasese,
Rukungiri, covering 1,978 square kilometers (764 sq. mi). Before it was called
Kazinga Channel National Park in 1952 and renamed two years after the visit of
Queen Elizabeth II of England. The park is a home of 95mammals including the big
four game and 600 bird species. The park is known for its abundant wildlife,
including African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi,
waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena,
chimpanzee and lion. The area around Ishasha in Rukungiri District is famous for
its tree-climbing lions, whose males often sport black manes The park is also
known for its Kanziga Channel

Kibale National Park is a stunning natural wonder, a modern-day Garden of Eden.
Kibale National Park, Uganda’s best chimp tracking site, preserves 766km2 of
mostly wooded habitat that stretches more than 50 kilometers (31 miles) south
from the major Fort Portal-Kampala Road to the northeast boundary of Queen.
Elizabeth National Park.
Kibale Forest, first designated as a forest reserve in 1932, was
subsequently raised to national park status and extended southward to form a
continuous block with the Queen Elizabeth National Park in 1993. This link
generates a stunning 180-kilometer animal migration route. It connects the cities
of Ishasha to the south with Sebitoli to the north. This large parkland allows you
to see a wide variety of wild creatures.
Safari Itinerary:
DAY 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
You will be picked by our company driver from your location to start your5-6
hours’ journey to Kibale National park one of Uganda’s best national parks for
chimpanzee tracking. You will Have lunch in Fort portal town then after proceed
to Amabere ganyinamwiru caves before you head to your lodge for dinner and
an overnight stay.

DAY 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Wetland.
Wake up for morning breakfast as you prepare to go for a 2-4hours chimpanzee
tracking. You will then meet the guide to brief you on what to do and what not to
then proceed to the Tropical rainforest in search for chimpanzee and in case you
come across them you will be able to take pictures as well as viewing them. After
tracking go back to the lodge for relaxation as you prepare for the3hours nature
walk at bigodi wetland. Then Back to the Lodge for overnight stay and dinner.

DAY 3: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Have breakfast Early in The morning. Check out of the lodge then travel to Queen
Elizabeth National Park. On your way, you will have magnificent views of the
Rwenzori mountains, tea plantations, Lake Gorge and many others. Have lunch
then after lunch at the lodge then go for an afternoon game drive at the park.

DAY 4: Game drive and Boat Cruise, visit Crater, Lake Munyanyange.
Wake up in the morning Have breakfast then go for an early morning game drive
after returning to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise
After lunch, you will then go for an afternoon boat cruise and then visit the crater
lakes as well as Lake Munyanyange. After returning to the lodge for overnight and
dinner.

DAY 5: Travel back to Kampala.
You will have morning breakfast then check out of the lodge and travel back to
Kampala vai Masaka Mbarara road. You will have a stop over at the equator for
photos and souvenirs. You will proceed to Kampala arriving there in the evening
and then dropped off at you advised hotel.
